| Lincoln's muncipal water came about primarily
for fire-fighting purposes, to protect its fragile historic structures,
but was soon extended to offer "city water" to residents. Until
recently there was a cap of 50 meters on the system, but the Bureau of
Land Management has made its water rights available to Lincoln Historic
district, thus making a certain amount of town growth possible. |
